In all honestly, the concept that I had for the series ‘Beyond Bodies’ is proving much more difficult than I had imagined. I’m guessing either this is too ambitious of a concept to work on or there is something wrong in my approach towards the concept. Or may be, this just isn’t the right time for me. I feel like the paintings that I have done so far lack a thematic element that binds them together. In any case, lets see what happens by the end of my time on this project.
Through out my last two or three paintings, I’ve noticed I initially start the painting with a rough mental image and an aim to achieve a certain feel. As I progress, somehow the flow and the process takes precedence and the initial idea becomes a secondary thought. So, as you can see, my paintings shift very drastically in the process and end result is completely different from my original idea of the painting.
